Transformers
EE&ME Transformers cores are manufactured using high-grade gain orientated electrical steels and then taped and reinforced with studs. These cores are designed with a conservative magnetic flux resulting is a very efficient core with extremely low noise and minimal losses. Standard coils have insulation rating of 185ºC, coupled with a 115ºC/125ºC temperature rise, this allows extra capacity without affecting the transformer life expectancy. In addition, a cooler units ensures a more reliability and less down time. Coils have extra bracing to minimise mechanical loads experienced during startup and regenerative phases.
EE&ME “K” type of isolation transformers are vacuum impregnated and oven cured to meet the rigorous demand of modern days SCR drives. Marine units can be formed up to a Delta/delta group in normal operation or in emergency to a V/V configuration. Aluminium wires are employed in our constructions for cost and weight savings.EE&ME Medical Transformers are fully impregnated and oven cured to improve their dielectric, mechanical and low noise properties. Motor starting current of is limited using EE&ME Autotransformer with generous contact areas reducing heat generated at termination points.
